Chili
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 15 oz can kidney beans
- 1 15 oz can black beans
- 1 15 oz can corn
- 1 15 oz can chopped tomatoes
- 1 onion sliced
- chicken broth
- 1 carrot halved and chopped
- 1 sweet potato cubed
- 5 cloves garlic peeled and minced
Spice Blend
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp cumin
- ½ tbsp paprika
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ tbsp pepper
- salt to taste
Optional Toppings
- Chips chopped
- Sour cream
- Cilantro chopped
- Avocado cubed
- Mexican cheese blend shredded
Saute onion and carrot on the stove on medium-high heat for 5 minutes, then add garlic and saute for another 3 minutes or until garlic is golden before adding to slow cooker pot.
Then saute ground meat for 5 minutes or no longer pink before also adding to slow cooker pot (discard extra liquid prior to adding it).
Add remaining ingredients and spice blend to pot. Mix everything together and cook on low heat for 5-7 hours.
Top with optional ingredients before serving.
