Black Garlic Drizzled Caprese Salad

Caprese Salad
- 3-5 heirloom tomatoes sliced horizontally
- A few cherry tomatoes optional
- 1 8 oz roll of mozzarella sliced
- Handful of basil
- 1 pinch Salt and pepper
- Rustic bread loaf sliced
Black Garlic Drizzle
- 5 small heads black garlic
- 2 tbsp date nectar
- 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp water
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- 1 Pinch Salt and pepper
Combine all ingredients for the Black Garlic Drizzle in a food processor or cup with immersion blender. Blend until a smooth creamy consistency. You can add more water if desired to thin out the consistency.
Arrange the tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil on a serving platter. Drizzle over some olive oil and sprinkle a pinch of salt/pepper. Finally, drizzle over some of the Black Garlic Drizzle sauce.
Serve with some toasted bread slices.
