Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb cod
  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • Ketchup
  • Tartar sauce
  • 1 lemon cut into wedges
  • 1 pinch dried parsley to top

Bowl 1

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 6 oz beer

Bowl 2

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika

Instructions

  • First, cut the potatoes into French fry shapes and toss with 1 tbsp oil and a pinch of salt (we used garlic salt) and pepper. Preheat air fryer to 390 degrees and cook fries for about 15 minutes (occasionally shaking to flip) or until cooked through and crispy. Set aside.
  • Combine all ingredients for Bowl 1 and Bowl 2 in separate bowls. Cut the cod into about 5 equally sized filets. Dip each filet first into Bowl 1 to coat and then Bowl 2.
  • Cook in 2 batches for 11-14 minutes each depending on the size of the filets. THey should be crispy on the outside and flaking on the inside when cooked.
  • Serve with the fries, a side of ketchup and tatar sauce, a lemon slice, and some optional coleslaw. Top with a pinch of dried parlsey.
