Zoe’s Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

  

  • 3/4 cup butter softened
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 3/4 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl, add room temperature butter and sugar. Use a beater to cream it together. Beat in one egg at a time and add in the vanilla. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, oats, raisins, and salt.
  • Slowly mix in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Using a spoon, scoop up a spoonful of dough and drop it onto a greased cookie sheet. Use a fork to smash down your dough a bit to form a flat(ish) disc.
  • Bake cookies for 8 to 10 minutes or until they are lightly golden brown on top. Transfer the cookies to a plate and sprinkle some more cinnamon on top before letting them cool.
