No-Sugar-Added Dark Chocolate & Banana Ice Cream
Ingredients
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- 5 medium-ripe bananas frozen and peeled
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 13.5oz can coconut milk
- 1.5 cups milk
- 1.5 cups heavy cream
- cocoa nibs to top
Instructions
- Freeze the ice cream maker bowl for at least 24h (you can also freeze the bananas during this time). In a large bowl, place peeled bananas and use an immersion blender to liquify them. Add the remaining ingredients (except cocoa nibs) to the bowl and continue to immersion blend them until mixed.
- Pour this mixture into the ice cream maker bowl. Run ice cream maker for at least 15 minutes or until it resembles ice cream. Top with cocoa nibs and perhaps some extra banana slices.
