What is Truff Hot Sauce?
Truff is a company that first launched in 2017. It is branded as luxury hot sauce which integrates truffle oil flavor into hot sauce to create a distinct and unique tasting experience. Since this time, their products have gone viral and you’ve now probably seen them in Whole Foods, Wegmans, or Amazon. They even recently scored a contract with Taco Bell itself.
You might have previously equated “luxury” and “hot sauce” and we hadn’t either. However skeptical, we tried it at a friend’s house and immediately were hooked. Yes, it is expensive for hot sauce but in our minds, well worth it, especially since a little bit goes a long way so each bottle lasts a long time.

Types of Truff Hot Sauce
The two types of Truff Hot Sauce are White Truffle and Black Truffle, each with it’s own artistically designed bottle. White truffles tend to be more expensive and have a more bold aroma while black truffles smell more earthy and have a more subtle taste. We like them both and ended up getting the pack that includes both White and Black Truffle Hot Sauce.
Truff Products
While White and Black Truff Hot Sauce were the two original products, the company has since come out with a number of different products that all incorporate truffle oil flavor. They now sell truffle oil itself, truffle mayonnaise, and truffle pasta sauce.
Recipes to use with Truff Hot Sauce
Since Truff is already a big and bold taste, you don’t necessarily want it competing with other bold tastes because they will quickly become masked but the Truff itself.
Our favorite use for it is drizzled on eggs (such as this Truff Breakfast Baguette Sandwich recipe that you’re reading about and hopefully will be about to enjoy!)
Other foods that we have found pair well with Truff include:
- Pizza (especially on cold pizza the next day if you’re into that!)
- Fried chicken
- French fries (can be mixed with ketchup for dipping)
- Hot dogs / Burgers
- Pasta with red sauce

Truff Breakfast Baguette Sandwich
Ingredients
- Truff hot sauce
- 1 baguette cut into 6in slices and then cut lengthwise
- 5 eggs
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp milk
- 3 cups spinach
- 2 to matoes sliced
- 1 sweet onion sliced
- Several slices of ham
Instructions
- In a bowl, scramble the eggs thoroughly with a whisk or fork. Bring a pan to medium heat and add the butter. Once melted, pour in the eggs and slowly stir until curds begin to form. Add milk and continue stirring until they’re slightly set but still fluffy. Season with salt/pepper and set aside.
- Now saute the onion until golden and set aside. Saute the spinach until just wilted and set aside. Meanwhile, brush some olive oil on the cut-sides and toast the baguette until golden. Lather one side with truff hot sauce, then add slices of ham, then eggs, then spinach and onion, and then the top of the baguette. Serve warm.
